Terms and Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern all quotations, sales, fabrication, supply and installation services provided by Creative Quartz & Granite Ltd. By accepting a quotation or paying a deposit, you confirm acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
Our aim is to provide complete transparency throughout your project. The information below outlines our processes, responsibilities and customer obligations to help ensure a smooth and successful installation.
1. Quotations
2. Materials and Product Variations
Creative Quartz & Granite supplies a range of quartz, granite, marble and porcelain surfaces. Customers are encouraged to review the characteristics of their chosen material prior to placing an order. Material samples can be provided to assist with selection. Samples, photographs and online imagery are intended as guides only and cannot guarantee an exact match to the final installed product.
Quartz and other engineered stone products are manufactured in production batches. Whilst manufacturers maintain strict quality controls, slight variations in colour, pattern, tone and veining may occur between samples and the final product supplied.
Granite, marble, quartzite and other natural stones are unique materials. Variations in colour, veining, movement, texture, mineral deposits and surface markings are natural characteristics of the material and should be expected. Such variations form part of the material’s natural beauty and shall not be considered defects.
3. Slab Selection & Veining
Where materials feature veining, movement or directional patterns, the final layout of the stone will be influenced by slab dimensions, fabrication requirements, structural integrity and installation practicality.
Creative Quartz & Granite will use professional judgement to achieve the most aesthetically pleasing result whilst maintaining the strength and integrity of the material. This will be discussed with you during templating. Please note, the exact positioning of veining, patterns, joints and seams cannot be guaranteed and shall not be considered defects.
4. Templating
Templating should only be arranged once:
- Cabinets are fully installed
- Cabinets are level and securely fixed
- Relevant appliances and sinks are available where required
- Building, plastering and flooring works are substantially complete
Dimensions supplied prior to templating are used for estimating purposes only.
Any changes requested after templating may require additional site visits, revised drawings and additional charges.
5. Cabinets & Site Readiness
Stone worktops require suitable support and preparation. Therefore, all cabinetry must be fully installed, level, structurally sound and capable of supporting the weight of the worktop prior to installation.
Creative Quartz & Granite reserves the right to postpone templating or installation where site conditions are deemed unsuitable. Additional visits required due to incomplete preparation may incur additional charges.
Creative Quartz & Granite accepts no responsibility for defects, movement or damage to the installed surface caused by cabinetry, walls, floors, appliances or workmanship completed by third parties.
6. Installation
Creative Quartz & Granite fabricates and installs worktops using our own experienced team and machinery.
Installation dates are provided in good faith but remain subject to material availability, supplier lead times, manufacturing schedules and site readiness. Whilst every effort is made to meet agreed dates, Creative Quartz & Granite shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. However, any delays will be communicated to you. Minor adjustments to the surface may be required during installation to accommodate natural variations within walls, floors and cabinetry.
7. Seams & Joints
Due to slab dimensions, transportation requirements and site access restrictions, worktops may require seams or joints. The number and location of seams shall be determined by Creative Quartz & Granite using accepted industry practices and professional judgement, which will be discussed with you during templating.
Whilst every effort is made to minimise their appearance, seams will remain visible and pattern alignment may vary across seams. Such characteristics are not considered defects.
8. Appliances, Sinks & Cut-Outs
All sinks, taps, hobs and appliances requiring cut-outs should be available at the time of templating unless otherwise agreed.
Where specifications are supplied by customers, manufacturers or third parties, Creative Quartz & Granite accepts no responsibility for inaccuracies within those specifications. Additional visits required as a result of unavailable appliances or specification changes may incur additional charges.
9. Payments
A 50% deposit may be required before materials are ordered or fabrication commences. Payment of a deposit secures material procurement, production scheduling and installation capacity.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the remaining balance is due within 24 hours upon completion of installation. Ownership of all goods remains with Creative Quartz & Granite until payment has been received in full.
10. Order Confirmation, Changes & Cancellations
Acceptance of a quotation and payment of any deposit authorises Creative Quartz & Granite to order materials, allocate production capacity and schedule installation. Any changes requested following acceptance of a quotation will be considered where reasonably practicable but cannot be guaranteed.
Approved changes may result in:
- Additional charges
- Revised lead times
- Additional templating visits
- Revised installation dates
- Additional material costs
Where materials have already been purchased, allocated or processed, the customer shall remain liable for all associated costs. Once fabrication has commenced, products are considered bespoke and cancellation may result in charges for materials, labour and production costs already incurred.
